MTLAnon here, I have been talking around with my friends and calmed down after my TLC along with my newly acquire Editor gonna take flight to the TL group named RtD. So after thinking and considered many thing I decided to keep translating the Elf Tensei. If RtD still decided to host one of my project that I still actively translating it I willn’t be polite either. I will translate ahead some of their group project and host it on my site. I have no Enmity nor any contact with RtD but if they still decided to host it, we do know.

I have no right to stop people translating the project since the project isn’t belong to me and it belong to author, but I still didn’t like it when people back stabbing me either. So you reader have it. If RtD still decided to go ahead and host it, you guys will get some of their project chp soon at this site.

You say it is “your project” but doesn’t RtD only pick up projects that have been “dead” for a certain period of time or that have been publicly or privately dropped by the group that was previously doing them? I’m not saying you shouldn’t be incensed if there was cause, but so far I have only seen them targeting projects that have been dropped and even backed off another project that was picked up by a group after the first TL quit.

    But maybe I’m not seeing the whole story here, but then again, who is. Just keep doing what you’re doing as long as it makes you happy and brings us more to read. Good Luck.

      As his name says…only translates dead projects, they star a new project when that story stops being updated for more than a month AND if the translator of such story doesn’t say a thing about the project, or when the translator post a new about being “Dropped”

      They already stoped translating Elf Tensei…

      Because you stated “I wanna translate this, so drop it”

      I didn’t find elf tensei in their site anymore also…

      So…..I don’t know what you want…

      We leechers only care about the releases…..and RtD is quite bigger than yah…. anyway……if you start releasing their projects you will not be able to keep their pace and release your projects…

      you will burn yourself out man…..

      1. I have some leeway to do some more project in my time without getting in the time of my job and my leisure time. So yeah I think I can just stock up future chp of their so when they hit certain number of chp then I can release it in one go maybe 5-10. I didn’t hear RdT want to host it from their own staff but from Hellomojo himself from his mail to me so I just assume it was true. Even later when it go to other site I will just do other site project that is all.

    2. I am not doing it just because it is “my project” I am doing this because I didn’t like it when someone stabbing in my back. I willn’t say much if they want to host Elf Tensei there but I didn’t want to get complain as well when I do the same with their project so I write this first of all.

      1. And I appreciate you doing this project at all. I’m just saying, I couldn’t see anywhere, at any point where someone was stabbing you in the back. Elf Tensei was on a list of something like 20-30 series that RtD was polling to decide what they should pick up. Something that I thought was already over before you ever posted this.

      2. well the stabbing in the back is the conclusion after I talk with my editor and feel when the thing go on. why I am saying RtD it is because the guy himself said he gonna translate his own version and host it there so you know what I am saying. and because RtD is the hosting site for dead project I am testing a water and see if they really do that. As long as they didn’t host Elf Tensei there I will not do the same either. that is all.

  3. well to be fair elf tensei basically isn’t getting any updates from the past translator despite saying he is still gonna translate it and trying to stop other groups from picking it up. I haven’t seen a new chapter from the guy in months

  4. i just checked out RTD website, and i cannot see anything about them trying to host/translate elf tensei, even on their poll post to find more things to translate they said “Elf Tensei apparently one of it’s old translators would like to keep it, so I probably won’t try and get it moving even if it wins.”

    I’m so not informed on this matter at all… Based on what I know as of now, Lygar’s hasn’t dropped this but is translating it like 2-chaps-per-month-ish, and based on what happened with 87%, I don’t think he would want you to continue Elf Tensei either? I’m happy for the chaps, but… I don’t get the mindset nor what I’m missing…

    1. I honestly don’t care as long as no one annoys me with comments. Everyone is free to do their own version of things. The more versions the better. I only request that they host all chapters in one single easy to access spot.

  6. I translate for myself not other people. Anyone is free to translate anything they want to. Just don’t talk to me about it or try to request to work together since I hate comments. I’m going to do my version and you go do yours.

    1. then it is no problem. as long as you as the original translator do it. I really just do it because you have in active for some month and doesn’t have news about whatever you are doing.

    why don’t you guys just stop fighting. it would not be that hard to set up a system were multiple translators could take turns doing chapters in order to lighten the load for each translator and speed up translation. you do not need to be at odds with each other.

    well I’ve been visiting RTD for quite a long time now and I know that there translations are good and mostly grammatically correct. I don’t think that people are going to give you any credit when your own post is messed up. we do know. well what do you know or did you mean now and willn’t is not a word no matter how you place it and what do you mean by “didn’t like it when people back stabbing me either.” Did you mean “don’t like it when people back stab me either.”? Also what do you mean by “So you reader have it.”? Finally, you say that if RTD translates it then we will have some of their project chp(chapters?) at this site. does this mean you plan on stealing their work and posting it on this site? If so then that is plagiarizing and is in fact illegal and you can be sued by them.

      all this said, I’d still like you to work on the project, just try to work with RTD so we can have more chapters. After all, we readers are hungry for both quality and quantity.

      1. If they are discussing it beforehand with me I might be able to do a join project. But because they aren’t willing to even contact me beforehand why should I care? So, I will not do any join project with RtD.

    2. I really want to see how they sue me really. Not like they are author nor are they are a publisher. I want to see how they sue me. It is really up to reader whatever they want to read my translation chapter since I am doing it for fun nor do I ask money for it.

        I know it sounds ridiculous but it is actually possible. One of my friends decided to translate a novel and took the other sites translations and was sued for 600$ (U.S. currency)

      MTLanon means that if they actually start posting Elf Tensei chaps (new ones), then MTLanon will also start doing one of RtD’s project chaps (new ones).

      1. and I am already translate half a chapter of one of their project. It is quiet an easy one. I will just wait till they catch up to where I am and post a bunch of the chapter out.

        And 1 of those is re translating the whole series…using tumblr….for god’s sake….tumblr…

        turbo & that dude came to “You don’t bother me, i don’t bother yah” even though the second dude was kinda rude

        But i don’t think anyone reads the second dude…..

        Funny enough, RtD took over the kumoko mantle….lolz

    I don’t know which side is bad and I won’t say what you are doing is pointless, but please don’t let it grow too big since we all will be hurt in the end and I never like any drama.

    If you ever want a new title to translate, please consider Arifureta. There are many haters but this is one of a few series I want to see till the end. It’s completed btw.

      picking up airafureta might end up in another problem for them as Dura-sama is currently translating the series, though they haven’t posted a chapter in quite some time they still have made posts about posting chapters. I do agree that it’d be a great choice as long as permission is obtained

  12. I belief RTD doesn’t have those evil intention of back stabbing or what ever you clam them to be.
    they simply a translator group that pick up the dead translation so the people could continue to enjoy it.
    if you claim you want to continue this elf translation then show it,
    when the last time you upload the darn novel anyway?

    1. If they are picking only the dead novel then you can see the date they upload the novel and when I am uploading the novel. The backstabbing stuff is more directed to hellomojo then RtD since he didn’t tell me beforehand when he start doing the new translated stuff.

        His choice of words is a bit weird sometimes and the flow is strange in a lot of way…

        Yeah, I think RtD isn’t that guilty, they just hosting the translation. Sad for the backstabbing stuff tho, I think [Elf tensei] can come out a lot faster when you guys collaborating like before…
